Virginia Commercial Floors was founded in 1949 by Thomas Nassief in Northeast Ohio, shortly after World War II. What began as a family business has grown into one of the DC Metro area's most trusted names in commercial flooring and interior design — with over 75 years of continuous operation.
Thomas and his wife built the company on a foundation of craftsmanship, personal service, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Those values have been passed down through the family and remain at the heart of everything we do today.
Today, President Gina Nassief carries on the tradition her father and mother started — leading the company with the same hands-on dedication and design excellence that have defined this family business for over seven decades. After relocating from Northeast Ohio to the DC Metro area in 2005, Virginia Commercial Floors operates as a division of Atlantic Design Group, serving the region's most reputable property owners.
We are a proud woman-owned family business specializing in complex renovation projects — multi-story apartment buildings, corporate offices, senior housing, retirement communities, and government facilities. Our turnkey approach means we handle everything from initial design concept to final construction completion.
Gina Nassief, President
A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Interior Design, Gina Nassief brings 45 years of interior design experience to every project. Carrying on the family tradition started by her father and mother in 1949, Gina has dedicated her career to the same values of craftsmanship and personal attention that built this company.
Her expertise spans commercial flooring, senior housing, multi-family communities, corporate offices, government facilities, and retirement communities. Gina is a full-service interior designer — offering furniture selection, wallpaper, color coordination, draperies, space design, and commercial flooring.
She personally supervises every installation on-site, ensuring the highest quality from start to finish. Under Gina's leadership, Virginia Commercial Floors has earned two national awards: the 2020 FCI Commercial Carpet Project of the Year and the 2022 Floor Covering Weekly National Award for Best Color Adaptation & Creative Installation — both for the landmark Park at Arlington Ridge project in Arlington, Virginia.
